Not that I care, but if this latest rumor is true and not  just another excuse for KingBabyJames. Then Delonte West may have completely ruined  a teams playoff run, a stars chance for greatness, and a cities hope for happiness.

In case you you haven’t heard. Supposed reliable sources are indicating that Delonte West has been plowing Lebron’s mother Gloria James. It is also said that conveniently Lebron found out before game four. So that’s why the Cavs lost. OK Cleveland, that’s why you guys think you got beat? First the right elbow and now the herpes gnome f*cked lebrons mother!?

I attended game six at the Garden and it was hands down the best Celtics game I’ve ever seen.  I’m pretty sure Lebrons just a choke artist, and the Celtics firing on all four cylinders are simply unbeatable.  It didn’t matter what Lebron showed up, Celtics would have won regardless. But…

Is it just me or is Delonte the exact person you would suspect to do something like this? I mean the f*king guy was arrested for driving a tricycle while in possession  of not one but three loaded firearms. A Baretta 9mm tucked in his waistband, a Ruger 357 attached to his leg, and a shotgun in a guitar case strapped to his back. WTF was he going to do? Is he Lorenzo Lamas? Hey fellow Afewtoomanians, it’s been a while since I gave you an interesting list post so I figured you deserved one. And I know everyone loves a good party every now and then but how often do you get to enjoy a good tailgating party? It is football season so some(or most) of my posts during the next few months will contain football in some way, so I’d thought I’d give you guys some good idea’s on what to bring to your pre-football game extravaganzas!

1. Cooler Stocked Full of Your Favorite Brew

This should be a no brainer, you have GOT to have beer while tailgating. I mean come on, its liquid fun in a can or bottle. Bring plenty of it, it will pump you and your boys up for the big game.

2. Patriots Jerseys

I DO NOT care what team you are going to watch(should be a pats game regardless), You should be wearing the jersey of a true football team. The New England Patriots. Anything else but a Pats jersey is trash and should be treated like it.

3. Foam Finger

Everyone loves foam fingers! They are funny and when you get drunk its fun to poke people with them. So stick it in the air, cheer for home team and poke your buddies.

4. Football

Pregame football game anyone? This is a must. Who doesn’t like to toss around the pigskin with their buddies prekickoff?

5. Snow

It’s tough to do, but going to a snow game is one of the most fun and intense ways to enjoy football. It makes playing football before the game more intense, it makes the actual game more intense, plus it help keep the beers cold if you forgot to put ice in your cooler.

6. Grill

Tailgating can be an energy consuming fiesta, how you gunna feed yourself without a way to cook?

7. Meat

So you got the grill, but now what to eat you ask? MEAT! Its the stuff men are made of. And well cows but theres nothing better than stuffing your faces with steak, chicken, burgers, hotdogs, sausages, kielbasa, anything that rhymes with delicious pretty much. BBQ Sauce and Ketchup optional.

8. Flask

Beer can get expensive once your in the stadium. It can cost up to a six pack for a single beer! A flask is discreet and can be hidden to sneak in some cheap booze. Check out this one I found, it’s a flask that looks like binoculars! Holy Shit I need one!

9. Hot Girls

One thing all sports fans can agree on is a good rivalry. I believe all teams should have at least one, if not more. Rivalry’s make matches much more interesting to watch, and deserve  a little more attention than your typical game. The thing I love  most  is the rival bashing, where die-hard’s like Steve and I cuss, swear and spew pure hatred towards the the opposer’s more inferior excuse’s for sports teams. This post is a tribute to some of that always loved banter.

With the start of the NFL season just days a way, I’d thought I’d dish some hatred out to the rival of my beloved New England Patriots. That rivalry team is non other than the Shitty Indianapolis Colts and their giraffe necked Pro Bowl Quarterback Peyton Manning.

This article will cover all of Peyton’s mistakes and goofy akwardness over the years. We’ll start with this little gem he threw against Green Bay:

Well Nashua, I’ve got something to tell you. You’ve just been Duqued!!!

“Duqued” Of course stemming from the former RedSox manager Dan Duquette. Who was fired from the Sox, and is now not only the General manager of the Southern NH American Defenders. He is also one of the 4 owners. The group of owners calls them selves…wait for it… The Boston Baseball All-Stars! My question is who was in charge of the branding??

“Ladies and gentlemen, the Boston Baseball All-Stars present to you your new Southern New Hampshire American Defenders!” The Nashua Pride must have been too small time for The Duque.

Do you think they served ‘American All-Star North South French Fries’ to all the children who wore red white and blue to the games? Personally I think the tractor is a perfect fit to the American Awesome theme they had going. Too bad it stands for just plain old justice (past due bill justice that is). The tractor is there the disallow the Defenders from completing their Can-Am League season

As it turns out, the team(or The Duque) owes the city of Nashua $45,000 in rent and back taxes. It’s kind of hard to believe no one wanted to sponsor a team with a post 911 name, playing in a post Bush Administration time. You would think they would at least put Nashua in the name somewhere(Nashua Pride), that way local business’s could advertise on a team that shares the city name.

The Duque was quoted saying:
“Without sponsor support and decreasing fan attendance to games, bills will go unpaid. It is a shame that more residents did not take advantage of the baseball and concerts that were held at Holman Stadium this summer. The problems the team is facing are very unfortunate. I had high hopes for what the ownership was bringing to our area. The lack of sponsor support is the key to the team’s difficulties. Toyota of Nashua, Bellavance Beverage and 
ArcLight Design were the backbone to this season’s team, but more sponsors like them were needed. Without the sponsors, there is no team. Very unfortunate for southern New Hampshire.”

That quote proved that Duquette is still incapable of taking responsibility for ANYTHING. I heard that Duquette meant “classy” in Latin. And there is absolutely no way I did not make that up. So by all means Dan, stay classy!

As for the other former Sox players Brian Daubach, and Rich Garces(El Guapo). Manager and pitcher for the Defenders respectively. The staff here at AFTM wish you the best, and hope to see you at a bar in Nashua(Your still buying).

Brian had this to say for the Nashua Telegraph:

“I’m sure it’s going to be disappointing for the city of Nashua, too,” he said. “It’s had baseball for a long time. I’ve really enjoyed my time here. Like I told you last year when I got here, it’s so much different than Boston. It’s more like, for me, being back home. It’s more like a Midwest town. I’ve gotten to know a lot of people in the community and I really enjoy it here. I’ve been treated good, I think, and it’s a place I would have like to have stayed. Especially with doing some stuff down in Boston and being close there, doing the media stuff (he has appeared on NESN and WEEI) down there. That’s what really brought me here, and would keep me here. It doesn’t look good for that.”

Normally I would go off on things about this team I dislike. Such as I did in this early season rant.

Except I’m lost for hate words at the moment. I can’t hate on Papi. Even though he’s in the worst slump I’ve ever seen a slugger be in. This one actually hurts too much to talk about. The man pretty much won us the championship in 04 on his own. Essentially changing the face of this franchise from lovable losers/underachievers. To their hated status of team to beat, with the most obnoxious, overzealous fans on the planet. I do know that if this was NY, Papi would be boo’d every time he struck, or grounded out. Once again proving that while our fans may be dumb. We at least have more respect, admiration, and loyalty than those dirty NY fucks.

While I could write all day about how much I hate the Yanks and their fans. Theo, stop going after/mentioning average and quick fix shortstops ,its a couple of weeks until lowrie gets back and if you want a shortstop just go get hanley.marlins cant compete hanley for bowden,bard,masterson (replace bard with bucholtz if needed) marlins need pitching you can throw lowrie in there also but it fixes the ortiz production problem or at least adds a power bat i think it works although im wondering if pedroia -hanley ever were part of the same infield in the minors if so that would help ease the transition, maybe its just a dream scenario but i dont want gonzalez and the indians would charge far too much for v-mart

Dear zeppelin3593, I agree that getting Hanley would be the bees knees. I’m pretty sure the Marlins won’t give him up for at minimum, one more year due to a steep increase of salary in the later years. Even when available he will be recruited as a corner outfielder, possibly center if he shows great range. With that said, the Marlins are notoriously stingy with trades. It would take at the very least 3 top tier prospects, and maybe some lesser players/cash considerations. All of that adds up to a player the Sox will most likely not even try for.


I’m sorry to hear that you don’t want Gonzales. Who would possibly want the MLB leader in homeruns this year? I also agree that the Indians will want too much for Victor Martinez, he’s only the SECOND best offensive catcher in baseball.

Lugo is open to playing second base. And he might be a player there. Don’t discount that. The Sox can’t try that because they have Pedroia. Having more time to field the ball and less of a distance for the throw makes a HUGE difference and takes a lot of pressure off. I think a lot of Lugo’s problem is the jitters. He seems to flinch a bit sometimes when he’s fielding or throwing the ball. Put him at second in a town that’s a little more laid back and he might be a good player. And if the Sox eat his contract then someone can try out that idea for free. There’s value in that. The guy can steal 30 bases, and he can hit. Just because we’re sour on him now doesn’t mean that it couldn’t work out in a different situation for him.

They’ve got money, so they should deal Lugo to the Nationals (and pay 90% of his salary) for Nick Johnson. Now. That gives Big Papi another kick in the butt, and doesn’t cost much personnel-wise. The Nats could make Lugo their second baseman and leadoff guy. Nick Johnson would be a solid #3 hitter, while he’s healthy, which should take us to the trade deadline…

Just when you think you understand baseball. It will take a huge dump on your stat wielding chest. I was quoted yesterday saying how we should bring up Clay to replace Wake in the rotation. I still wouldn’t be opposed to that, since Clay would be more interesting to watch. But now I just look silly saying it. Either way congrats Tim. At age 42 you came within 5 outs of your first no hitter. You make us  more confused than this guy in the 03 playoffs—->

Since were on the topic of baseball, can we talk about not only how bad the Sox look right now. But also how boring this team is. For being one of  the top tier  payrolls in the MLB. Why is it we have no big  stars to show for it. Yes Ortiz was a star, and will always have a place in our heart for his role in bringing us a championship. However, lets not ignore the fact that he will never ever be the 50 HR guy he was. Our highest paid player on the team is J.D. Drew. Even that’s  being considered a mistake by Theo and our recently stingy owners.  Whatever happened to the Manny’s, the Pedro’s, Nomah’s, and the Mo Vaughns that would attract you to watch whether they win or loose? Honestly, this team needs to sign a Big bat and do it fast.  If they continue to suck pine like they did last week. There will be almost no reason to watch. I’m as big a fan of  Youk as the next guy, even though I never thought he would be this good. But if we have him continue to be our biggest bat, this team will fail hard. The same goes for Pedroia and Bay. They’re great players and I’m glad we have them. I just wish we had a Manny Type Player to compliment their hard work with mind-blowing natural talent ( Think Grady Sizemore, Ryan Braun, Hanly Ramirez).

Now that the Celtics are without KG for the playoffs. The Sox are all I have for hope of a championship. So please, please Jon Henry, spend some of that 8 dollar Fenway beer money and make something happen. I don’t care how good our bullpen is. If we never get leads, there will be nothing to save.

Fuck the Yankees, Fuck the Rays, fuck winning the World Series! Any real Sox fan isn’t happiest when we win. They’re happiest when talking about how good we’re supposed to be, and how much potential this team has. We can’t do that until we have really outrageously high paid, or complete batshit-Crazy players! On that note, does anyone remember being in the bleachers yelling “Crazy Carl!” at fenway to our own player? I fucking miss those days. We should have kept Izzy Alcantra just for shock value.

SIDE NOTE- I went to spring training 2 springs ago, and my brother spent the whole time yelling at Manny in left field. Saying stuff like ” do something funny Manny”, or to ” do a cartwheel”,  and” you look like Krusty the Clown”. Keep in mind this was after he sold his neighbors grill on ebay. That was the start of Manny being Manny. Not Manny loving money like we have now.

Anyway…. What the fuck was I talking about?
