State of the Nation. A-Roid edition
You do steroids chant at Fenway.
8-0 against our most hated of rivals feels NICE.
I Still don’t want to talk about trades, because I can’t really justify trading anyone. Penny looks good throwing 97, and Papi seems to be coming around. I suppose we could use a defensive shortstop, but lets not mortgage the farm to do so.
Anyway it’s A-Roid time.
This is funny. Minus the Tom Brady reference.
Another View of the A-Roid chant at Fenway.
If you think our fans are obnoxious, I agree and already posted about it here.
I will say this though. For every shit sox fan we have, there is an equally awesome one such as myself. So please America, don’t hate us because we win. Hate us because were to involved, and you being from (fill in shitty sports town here) can’t understand why we care so much. Don’t bitch about the amount of money we pay for players, because we’ve sold out nearly 500 straight home games. You want your team to go get those free agents and win games, attend a game or two and show your interest. If not stfu.

Now our stupid fan quote of the day:
BOS/NYM Trade for David Wright

This is a trade that could benefit both sides. The Mets need starting
pitching, bullpen help, and a shorstop to fill in for Reyes. You give
them Brad Penny, Michael Bowden or Clay Bucchholz, Jed Lowrie to play
third and Takashi Saito or Manny Del Carment to help in the bullpen
now that Putz will be out for a long time.
They might want Lowell back in the trade which you could do but with the
agreement that they have to take Julio Lugo back in the trade to play
shorstop for them.
BOS get David Wright
NYM get:
2 starting pitchers: Penny and Bucchholz/Bowden
Mike Lowell and Shorstop Julio Lugo
Bullpen arms: Saito or MDC. You can try to make them take Saito instead of MDC by adding Hunter Jones in the deal.
Thoughts?
Dear Stomackit10452,
David Wright is the face of the Mets franchise. They would not make that trade unless we included a franchise player in the package. Wait,WTF am I talking about? No! They would never trade him! We would have to give up more talent then he’s worth. The Mets are not the Pirates. They will never have to trade their talent. They will simply just buy more players to get better, not trade them away. Your an asshole for making me ponder this 5th grade question. In the words of Fitzy, Go fuck yourself.
